Workers' Compensation Basics for Physician - Online Course

AAWCP is launching our first ever Online Course - Workers' Compensation Basics for Physicians. This course is a basic overview of Work Comp and a great first course for a layman / physician to understand about Workers' Compensation.

This course is intended to provide the Physician with a general background on Workers’ Compensation insurance…such as why Workers’ Compensation insurance was created, what it does and how it generally works. 

The Benefits of taking this course are to give the Physician a knowledge of the basics of Workers’ Compensation. This course is the “starter” course upon which our future educational modules will be built.

It is important (in fact essential) for anyone treating injured employees to have a background and knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation system. The Work Comp treatment and claims process is unique ..with its own procedures, protocols and paperwork. The Medical Schools typically spend little, if any, time in educating Physicians on Workers’ Compensation. But, it is essential for any Physician who wants to make headway in Work Comp to educate themselves on the line. This course is a great first step.
